Show #8: Crime Scene Chic

Modeldead_2 Have you noticed a trend in "Crime Scene Chic" which is basically fashion advertising that utilizes death, murder, assault, or torture? Well, Heather and I have. In this podcast, we chat about recent Crime Scene Chic ads like the "Murder shoot" from America's Next Top Model.

For the podcast, here are links to the ads we are talking about. If you have seen any other examples or have any thoughts, please share them in the comments.

Show #7: Do you chat about your fat too much?

FitSugar, one of our favorite blogs about health and fitness, brought up the question, "Are you a fat talker?" At Back in Skinny Jeans, I pontificated on the same topic. Heather and I thought it was such an interesting topic that we decided to elaborate even more about "fat chat" in this podcast.

Besides asking if women talk about their fat too much, we also share related stories about high school reunions, Stephanie's meeting with a reality TV show casting director, and Botox. Join the chat.

Show #6: Would Oprah succeed if she started her career today

Heather and I wondered out loud if Oprah Winfrey would be as successful if she started her career in today's media climate. Most female talk show hosts today come from a stand up comedy background like Ellen, Rosie, and Megan Mullally (comedy sitcom). We'll talk about Tyra further in a future podcast.

Oprah started her career in a TV station as a news anchor and then worked her way up to talk show host eventually landing her own show. Listen in as we chat about Oprah and out thoughts on her success.
